Cenlar has started a new way to ripoff its customers that had no say in even being their customer. They have started charging a transaction fee for early payments and on payments from 0 to 5 days past due date of $2.00. Payments from 6 to 10 days past due date are...

I too was upset about the new tranaction fee. I will be mailing my payment from now on.

I understand that mailing a payment cost the company more money. I suggest everyone start mailing their mortgage payment and let Cenlar eat the cost.

CENLAR IS RUINNING MY CREDIT

I too am a victim of TB&W clients transfer to CENLAR. I am trying to refinance my mortgage, but it not possible because CENLAR has submitted wrongful information to my lender claiming that I am two months behind on Mortgage payments. When I contacted the office, they claim that they have never received October 2009 payment. I have faxed my bank statements to them at least 3 times where it shows that two payments were made in September 2009: one in early September; the other in late September. The late September 2009 payment was meant to cover October 2009. Simple math right? No. Instead, they claim that I owe them two months. Please help me. I would be interested in joining a Class Action suit.

Cenlar also not applying my payment(s)

I have lodged a complaint with the Federal Office of Thrift Supervision (which is who regulates Cenlar) and I suggest everyone else does the same. Their website is: www.helpwithmybank.com I hope that if they see the shear numbers of complaints coming in, something is more likely to be done about the situation with Cenlar. Looks like I am one of a number of people having an issue with Cenlar not applying a payment that I made to TBW during the time Cenlar was taking over and before we were notified of the switch. Even after showing proof of all payments made timely they are still requesting the money and have now accessed us with a 30 day late payment. I used to be a loan officer and I can attest that TBW only worked with A+ borrowers. I believe Cenlar never received monies due to them from TBW and are now just trying to collect that money from the borrowers because they know they are not going to get it from TBW.

CENLAR keeps letting our house insurances lapse!!

We were transferred to CENLAR from Taylor, Bean ,Whittaker, as well. At first they would never answer the phones, now they do, but I can't understand them. Our insurances are supposed to be paid by them out of an escrow account, however they keep letting them lapse! Then they send me a letter telling me I have to call the insurance! Now I could understand if there were any changes, but NOTHING has. The same as it has been since day one. Who actually owns this company, anyway?? I am, seriously, thinking of refinancing! I am not comfortable with this company managing my escrow account!

CENLAR Customer Service

Cenlar sent me a loan statement outlining that I am in arrears with my mortgage. What ! I thought to myself, finally reached them on their 866-430-9689 after ssn and zip take 3# then 0 finally a pissed off customer rep spoke to me , she said it was a print error. Bit late in the day for that, anyway she then outlines that in future if I make a payment on-line it will cost me $12. Way to go on service options there was no point in shouting at her. Ultimately the consumers day will come and bad customer service will be rewarded.

Cenlar taking over Taylor Bean Mortgages

WE have been battling with Cenlar about an alleged Sept 2009 payment we owe when The Taylor, Bean and Whitaker fiasco happend. At that time we were told to do nothing for a couple of months. Each month Cenlar tells us we are a month behind. We try to get proof of that paymnet from two years ago and they said do what we could. No worries. Just got a letter that our loan was in default. WE are about to refinace this month so I will be done with Cenlar forever. What a joke balming us for there own mess!!!!!!

Wow! We have been dealing with the situation since Sept.

2009. We have recently been threatened with foreclosure. We have also received several calls in the evenings after 8o'clock telling us that they are calling to collect a debt.

It is unreal. What are we to do?

They did the same to me in Oct of 10 - a year after the takeover. Fortunately it's one payment I had made by check and my bank sent them a copy that they had signed and cashed. Now they are harrassing me about missed payments again despite my online account showing all payments are up to date.

Cenlar review in Washington, District Of Columbia: Never pick up phone calls

Cenlar threatened me. Got a letter telling me they was going to foreclose on my loan because I missed one payment. I told them I was going to make this up in two months. But finding them was a chore. All letters had no one to contact, no phone number, no name, etc. When I finally tracked them down thru the WEB, the calls were picked up, heard talking in the background like a bunch of people on break. They never picked up the phone. I tried 6 times for two different days. When I finally got someone, all they wanted was my income and payments. I am not applying for a loan. I was missing one month and will pay and make it up in two months due to illness. They did not care. Calls keep coming. Certified letters keep coming. What the ***. Only one month late and they are going to foreclose. Let me see could it be that this is on two acres of land that I owned outright. Could it be they could make about 100 grand even at foreclose prices. NO WAY. COME ON DOWN TO COURT IN GEORGIA AND SEE IF THIS GEORGIA BORN AND RAISED MAN CAN GET A JURY TO RUN YOU OUT OF THE SOUTH.

Cenlar review in Kalamazoo, Michigan: Entered my checking amount without permission

Last year cenlar took it upon itself to escrow my taxes and insurance to be able to do so, they increased my monthly payment from 273.00 to 833.00 dollars per month. They claimed that I was behind in my taxes and insurance so they got into my checking and setup an automatic withdraw for the 833.00. I had to pay a fee to my bank to stop payments. I've been making payments over my scheduled payments but they don't provide no statements of payments or balance of escrow of mortgage. I also submitted my complaint to better business. They addressed it but it was not much they could do. What I am worry about somewhere it the future I will totally find my mortgage in foreclosure. I have checked website and apparently several complaints have been filed against Cenlar for similar activities.

TB&W had approval to access my checking acct. For a set monthly mortgage payment (30 year fixed loan).

That included tax escrow NOT insurance, which was paid by the condominium association, included in my condo fees). this had been continuing over six years. after receiving a notice that Cenlar had taken over and nothing would change, they raided my checking account without my knowledge and no notification. my usual monthly payment od $833.00 went to $2,000!

I didn't find out until I received my bank statement. by that time, they had taken another $2,000

Payment. when I contacted them, they said they had no record of insurance. I was instructed to fax it several times to different fax.

Umbers. finally I sent it certified mail, return receipt requested. Then I was told they needed those records all the way back years before they took over from TBW. Meanwhile, they not only did not return the thousands they took from my checking account, they upped my mortgage payoff by $10,000!

I could not even transfer to another mortgage company. I retained and paid for an attorney. he got no response from his letters and calls. Cenlar calls me five or six times a month before my payment is due.

Since 2003' I have never missed a payment. I am being harassed by them as if I have defaulted. They returned finally some of my money, but not all. I am exhausted trying together this straightened out.

It has been going on for over two years. someone needs to stop the criminal activities conducted by this company.

Cenlar review in Dallas, Texas: Atrocious Customer Service

I was on the phone yet again yesterday with your "customer service" people. CENLAR has repeatedly failed to correct the errors to my account. CENLAR has repeatedly attempted to establish an escrow account for insurance when the homeowner/mortgagee has continously had a policy in place and that has been maintained for over ten years. Even after receiving confirmation from the insurance company that issued the policy, CENLAR has stubbornly refused to acknowledge that confirmation. Homeowner's policy number xxxxxxxxxx secured through The Hartford Insurance Company; you may contact them for verification and they will send a confirmation fax for the fourth time- 1-800-423-0567. This is a continuing problem that occurs year after year. Allow me to suggest that CENLAR begin to exercise due diligence in servicing mortgage loans. After repeated phone calls and faxes, the issue was never resolved because of CENLAR's atrocious "customer service". When contacting CENLAR via phone we have repeatedly requested to speak with a supervisor or an "English-speaking" American to properly answer our questions and to have the matter resolved. Our requests were rudely ignored. Consequentially, I decided to check my account online and found that I was "locked out". The "customer service" representative said that he had reset the my password to "welcome123" and had changed my user name to "donnel". Well, no surprise here, it doesn't work. CENLAR has the absolute WORST customer service of any organization that I have ever encountered. Don xxxxxxxxxx Account xxxxxxxxxxxx

Leave it to Cenlar. Nothing surprises me.

We are dealing with them in re to a supposedly missed 2009 (after TBW takeover) mortgage payment. They are now threatening to forclose.

Are getting paperwork daily on how to avoid forclosure and are suggesting credit counceling. We are getting to end of our ropes.
