Incompetency and lack of communications

My late brother's estate is undergoing probate in CA. Documents showing my sister as the court appointed administrator, death certificate were sent July 2021. To this date, CENLAR has not updated their records, reviewed my brother's account and does not acknowledge my sister as the administrator. Due to their incompetency and lack of customer service, the property is now in FORECLOSURE. My family and I are still grieving and facing this awful dilemma. H-E-L-P. DO NOT EVER USE CENLAR!!

They are the service for SSFCU. I had a HELOC in 2019 with SSFCU in July 2020 I paid off the loan and closed the HELOC.

For almost 2 years I have been unable to get them to release the lien. They show it is closed and $0 balance (never late, always paid more than required). I have called, emailed, faxed and written them. SSFCU says I have to deal with Cenlar and Cenlar has done nothing!

Yes, I even have a letter from SSFCU/Cenlar saying they are fully paid and the HELOC is closed. I have reported them for RESPA violations, and I am now being forced to engage with an attorney. They even told me they will not provide me with a copy of the release, they will only provide that to the county (it is a public record, and I actually have a legal right to the release copy).

Till this is resolved my property is literally held hostage. I did what I was supposed to do and they refuse to do their part.

Update: I got an attorney and now have my release. Fortunately, I have a legal plan that covered my expenses in this case.

This held me up a couple of weeks. I highly recommend if you have a loan paid off check your county records to ensure your lien is released and if not get on it immediately (you want to allow 30 days form payoff).

Complaint about your non-cooperation to the closing my new mortgage

I am refinancing my Citibank mortgage with Cross Country Mortgage. Cenlar is the servicing agent. On October 4th, 2021 the Law firm representing CrossCountry (Gulotta Grabiner) requested your acknoledgement that you have available my Stock Certificate and Proprietary Lease originals in order to proceed to the new loan closing. To this date, December 4th 2021, your firm has not responded to their requests. This prevents the loan closing to take place. As I have URGENT medical matters to take care of in Paris, France asap. This create an extremely stressful situation for me. Please take this matter seriously and provide Gulotta Grabiner with the requested information, as soon as possible. Thank You. Luc De Clapiers

Escrow Account Calculated Incorrectly

We financed our home with Cenlar. Initially, Cenlar would regularly surprise us with some new calculation. For the last 1 1/2 years, things went smoothly until we received a bill for over $17,000 for Cenlar's error in calculating escrow required to pay property taxes. We thought that the escrow charged was somewhat inadwquate but never thought it was over $1,000 per month. It is incredible that Cenlar can consistently make errors -- sometimes large -- and continue to be Citi's loan servicing company. Citi used to do it themselves and we never had a problem but then Cenlar came along and it has always been difficult - contacting them is nearly impossible and, once on the line, there is little help.

Can't make my payment online

Tried to make my payment today and Cenlar has decided I need to change my password to login. Well, when I try to change it, it tells me that my current "temporary" password, which is my usual password is not correct, so I can't change it.

Our account was paid in full. They have not refunded our escrow funds. The law states they are to return your funds within 20 or 30 days. I have called and was told it should arrive this week. Call again it will arrive next week.

I made multiple payments on the web site to pre-pay my mortgage. Hours spent trying to get customer service. Every time I did, the information was incorrect. They would place me on hold and drop the call. My Payoff Statement says I have a NEGATIVE payoff amount. I cannot reach anyone to explain how to make a negative payment. Multi Doesn

Urgent follow up request on dispute and issues

I am writing to complain and follow up on the following information on my file. The items I dispute also are shown on the attached documents as proof and for record-keeping purposes. On October 30 on the Cenlar webpage, I made a payment of $9999.99 (towards November bill plus extra principal). The payment seemed to go through, but I did not receive the confirmation e-mail. I waited till November 2nd my payment was not posted in Cenlar and was not yet deducted from my Citibank checking account. On November 3rd I called Cenlar customer service again and I was advised to redo the same payment. I urged and specified that I only authorize one payment total of $9999.99 for the month of November. On November 4th despite all my telephone communications with Cenlar customer service, both payments went through, and I had two separate $9999.99 deducted from my Citi checking account. Please see attached bank statement I highlighted the amounts that was posted on my checking account. On Nov 5th I officially requested a refund and I unauthorized the second payment that was taken by Cenlar from my checking account. Again, the payment of Nov 3rd is unauthorized since the initial payment of October 30 was successfully processed for the month of Novembers regular payment and extra principal. I called and wrote to Cenlar almost daily, I kept following up, but I was not getting any response. My $9999.99 was neither showing in my bank account nor applied towards my loan on the Cenlar website! On November 10, I called Citibank and disputed the November third payment. The second $9999.99 is unauthorized because it was double paid for the same month of November! Unfortunately, it took 17 days to process and return my money. The $9999.99 was posted back to my checking account on November 27th by Citibank. With peace in mind that the issue is resolved, on November 30th I made a payment again for my December regular plus extra towards the principal. (a $9999.99 payment for the month of December) This time I received confirmation no. 160675****823 and a confirmation email from Cenlar. Please see attached files. The $9999.99 for the month of December is deducted from my checking account. This transaction is posted on December 2nd on my checking account whereas exactly on the same day I received a letter from Cenlar that Citi bank has declined my payment. Please see the attached letter from Cenlar. The money is not in my Citi Checking and nor on the Cenlar webpage, and I have been following up since then. Per Cenlars customer service representative's advice, I went to my branch and I asked for a transaction transmittal. I emailed and faxed the requested transaction transmittal as proof of payment. CitiBank Camden St. branch manager, Balwinder Bedi, also kindly faxed the transmittal letter to Cenlar fax no. 609 538****. Yet, I did not see any results, and the Cenlar website keeps showing late payment on my mortgage, and customer service still repeats that bank has refused to pay. On December 4 again I went to the Citibank branch on Camden Avenue and asked the branch manager, Balwinder Bedi, to call and follow up with Cenlar. We were on the phone call for 3 hours and 38 minutes and Aaron English Cenlar representative promised to help and fix this issue. He stated that the money is rejected by Citibank and is returned to my account and I should see it within a few business days. I called Cenlar on December 9 talked to Ryan (his ID no. 45526) he stated that a check shall be processed and send. He restated that Citibank has unauthorized my payment. I have confirmation from Citibank that the money paid on November 30th has left my account and posted on December 2nd and there is no such rejection. I wonder why my money is still with Cenlar otherwise what is the check for? Why still the check is not processed if the money was rejected on December 2nd? What is a check for when I have paid it towards my payment and principal on November 30th and send the bank's confirmation of payment, even called with branch manager confirming/authorizing the payment? Summary: Today is the 10th of December I made my payment on November 30thfor the month of December, this money is still out of my checking account and Cenlar records and website are showing that Citibank has rejected my payment moreover, it states that I am late for my regular mortgage payment! I need responses to the following questions: Why is Cenlar is irresponsible towards my payment? Resolve this issue as soon as possible and tell me exactly why my $9999.99 has not gone through? Where is my $9999.99 now and follow up! Why does CitiBanks and Cenlars mistakes impact me and show me being late when Citibank and Cenlar are making constant mistakes? I urge that Cenlar and Citibank solve your problems without impacting the client! I urge and request all the records correction. I do not want to see negative points on my credit records nor a bad payment history. Why am I receiving generic responses on secure messaging on the Cenlar webpage? Why none of the workers are responsive? · Why Management that was supposed to call and follow up failed to call? · A manager lady named Kimberly was promised to call on Dec. 4th how long should I still wait? · I also have an issue with the amortization table there are no links leading to any access to the amortization table I have followed up several times. The help tabs sent by representatives do not apply to the website on the customer end! Why does Cenlar deliberately hide information from us?
