Cenlar - Completely incompent in handling our escrow account!
Its March 2018 and Cenlar still has not fixed our escrow account despite getting copies of the reduced! tax assessment that our County Tax Office has issued and that we have sent to Cenlar!
We have been making short payments by phone so as not to be over charged and we have now been informed by Cenlar that they will no longer be accepting our payments for our mortgage!
Is that crazy or what? They will not reply to our repeated requested for a phone call to solve this year long problem.
Do not do business with Cenlar. We bought a house April 2017 and have been paying into escrow for our property taxes.
Due to a delay in the local County Tax Assessment Office filing the property division at the time of closing, we are being required by Cenlar to pay for the entire 23 acre parcels taxes, instead of the 5 acres we bought! Its a massive difference in Mortgage payment every month. Even the County says we do not own the entire parcel! Cenlar looses every document we have emailed, faxed and mailed to them.
They say "they have no record of receiving our docs." At yet they can take $100's of dollars from us, for escrow we do not owe?
Its nuts! And there is not way you can get them to listen or resound to the information you have sent to them.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $2688.
Preferred solution: I want my escrow account properly handled to show the taxes we really owe..
Cenlar Cons: Screwed up my escrow account.
